Awards are intended to cover the entire Cost of Attendance (COA): tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board.
Award amounts will be determined based on the cost of attendance as determined by each recipient’s financial aid award letter.
If recipients have changes to their enrollment or living situation mid–year, their award amount may be adjusted if funds are available.

Live in Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina
Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at Virginia Tech for the entire upcoming academic year
Be pursuing a degree offered by the Virginia Tech College of Engineering
Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Hold a leadership role in recognized/identifiable group or team

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
academic record,
demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities,
work experience,
a statement of educational and career goals and objectives,
unusual personal or family circumstances,
an online recommendation, and
three essays
